This is a large about 10’ long 8 x 8 hand-hewn beam.Seems to bee in
good shape with notched ends and a notch cut out part way in the beam as well.
Here are two beams
that once were one. Alas, they have been cut in two, so one is 5 ft and the other is 5 and a half. 8 x 8 hand-hewn just like the previous one.
This beam is about 11 feet long and has a tapered end. It’s about 3”x6” around. There are some old square nails in it and a metal fastener on the far end.
